Every magical glimpse of Niagara Falls creates an enduring memory. There are plenty of restaurants in Niagara Falls, but only a handful offer locally sourced farm-to-table dishes together with awe-inspiring views of the falls. Seeking out the best Niagara Falls view restaurants can make your vacation or getaway even more special.

Hit up the Falls view patio at Table Rock Bistro

Table Rock Bistro + Wine Bar is the newest of the Niagara Falls view restaurants. It first opened its doors in May 2024 on the top floor of the Table Rock Centre adjacent to the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. Grab a seat on the expansive patio, and you’ll be so close to Niagara Falls you’re likely to feel the mist while you dine!

The biggest hits at our table were the appetizers. The charcuterie board received rave reviews, not only for its impressive appearance but also its wide variety of tasty selections. The Ontario burrata and hummus with pita were also popular.

I have celiac disease and need to avoid eating gluten. The tuna tataki appetizer is gluten-free — including the ponzu sauce, which is a huge bonus! — and I ordered the chicken taco bowl for my main course. Both items are clearly marked as gluten-free on the menu. I had zero issues when ordering, receiving, or consuming this or any of the meals I enjoyed on this trip.

The patio at Table Rock Bistro is open from spring through fall. It’s one of the best-kept secrets in Niagara Falls. But it won’t be for long, so pay it a visit before the word gets out. It’s the number one Niagara Falls restaurant for ordering appetizers and wine — or choose from their impressive list of non-alcoholic cocktails — and grazing until dusk to watch the lights come on over Niagara Falls.

Queen Victoria Place is one of the best Niagara Falls view restaurants

Queen Victoria Place Restaurant melds a historic backdrop with laid-back fine dining. And the panoramic views over the Canadian and American Falls from the patio are breathtaking! We sampled the lunch menu here, which features a variety of starters, salads, sandwiches, and approachable mains.

The charcuterie board was once again a hit, and our table also enjoyed the fried ravioli and the heirloom caprese burrata. I ordered the Pingue prosciutto melon salad, which is a delightfully refreshing take on the classic prosciutto and melon combination with three types of melon, tomato and cucumber, mint and lightly dressed arugula. The roasted chimichurri chicken is an easy gluten-free option as a main course.

Chef Matt Hemmingsen oversees the kitchen at Queen Victoria Place Restaurant. He grew up picking vegetables and fruits on his family’s nearby farm. Later, he graduated from the Culinary Management program at Niagara College. Before taking the lead at Queen Victoria Place Restaurant, he lent his expertise to local kitchens at Cherry Hill Country Club and Peninsula Ridge Estates Winery. Now, this 120-year-old historic building and its immaculate gardens act as the backdrop to his creations.
Indulge in fine dining directly above the Horseshoe Falls at Table Rock House Restaurant

Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or you want to experience some of the best Niagara Falls has to offer, Table Rock House Restaurant belongs on your consideration list. It offers fine dining with the most spectacular of views. The dining room’s picture windows directly overlook the Canadian Horseshoe Falls.

Our group ate twice at Table Rock House, experiencing both the lunch and dinner menus. At lunch, my dining companions made the braised beef poutine disappear quickly. I thoroughly enjoyed the pomegranate-topped hummus (the pita can be substituted with cucumber to make it gluten-free). The bangers and mash, topped with a prune jus, made for a delicious main course.

At dinner, I started with the Falls Salad topped with strawberries and radish, and the grilled Berkshire pork chop with its apricot and pecan mostarda stood out. The dumpling bowl and asparagus tempura appear on both the lunch and dinner menus and were big hits, especially among the vegetarians.

All four desserts made appearances to rave reviews, including my gluten-free and dairy-free selection of gelato.
Niagara Parks operates Feast On certified restaurants

Showcasing local food and wine is a high priority at Niagara Parks, which has been certified under the Feast On program since 2014. This certification, administered by the Culinary Tourism Alliance, is given to restaurants that commit to ensuring at least 25% of their food and drink purchases originate from within Ontario and that Ontario products will be procured whenever possible.
Five Niagara Parks full-service restaurants are Feast On certified. These include the three restaurants featured above — Table Rock House, Table Rock Bistro, and Queen Victoria Place Restaurant — as well as Legends on the Niagara Restaurant and the Whirlpool Pub + Lounge. In most cases, Niagara Parks restaurants far exceed Feast On’s guidelines. For example, 60% of the food and 90% of the wine list at Table Rock Bistro come from within Ontario.

In fact, Niagara Parks takes farm-to-table dining at Niagara Falls restaurants to another level. When in season, the herbs featured on their menus are grown at the Botanical Gardens by students at the Niagara Parks School of Horticulture. Food doesn’t get much more local than that!
